Arthur Lynn "Pug" Bailey, age 63, was born on February 1, 1953 and passed away on Wednesday, May 25,
2016 at Whirlwind Nursing Facility, Greeneville after after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Unicoi County and a son of the late Arthur and Gladys Ingle Bailey. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Ted Bailey; his sister-in-law, Margaret P. Bailey; his favorite niece, Tammy B. Lynch and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, two brothers: Dwane Bailey and Kyle Bailey; his dear sister-in-law,
Dollie Bailey, who visited him and brought much fun and laughter. He is also survived by his sister, Shelby B. Hensley and his brother by marriage, Jack Hensley. Arthur loved his special niece, Misty Bailey Reeder, who visited him
whenever she was in town. Survivors also included nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who loved
him very much.

Arthur Lynn loved his family and always talked about them, even those who had passed before him. One of the last words of instruction he gave to his sister and brother-in-law was, "Tell everyone Hi!" So we are relaying his message. He was a kind and thoughtful person, loved and respected his caregivers and staff.
They became his "other family". To quote the staff at Sertoma in Knoxville, "He was a gentleman, shook your hand, was kind, loving and thoughtful". We are appreciative of many people who helped Arthur on his path in this life, most
recently the staff, doctors and nurses at UT Medical Center Hospital, Knoxville and the staff and officers of Sunrise Community Services. He loved all of them and they respected him and gave him the highest respect and quality care available for a special needs patient. That care and consideration extended to his family, so helpful and supportive in all ways. We, the family, will miss Arthur Lynn. At this moment it is hard to imagine our lives without him. We have God's promise we will meet again.

There was a private viewing for immediate family at the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel on Friday. A private graveside service was held Friday, May 27, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at the Evergreen Cemetery where he was interred beside his parents and brother Ted. The family requests no food or flowers. If you desire to honor Arthur Lynn with a contribution, please send to your favorite charity in memory of Arthur Lynn Bailey.
