Elias Raymond BAILEY, 82, Kewanna, died Wednesday at 1:06 p.m. in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. He was born April 4, 1905 in Hillsdale to Charles Gillman and Lina DUGGER BAILEY. He was married Dec. 12, 1923 in St. Joseph, Mich., to Marguerite PARKER, who died in 1965. He was married Sept. 19, 1965 in South Bend to Golda M. CARTER, who survives. He was retired from sales and service for Guardman Chemical and Coating Company, Grand Rapids, Mich. He was a member of the Kewanna Church of Christ, South Bend Valley Scottish Rite, Kewanna Saddle Club and Orak Temple at Michigan City. He was a 50-year member of the Mishawaka Masonic Lodge and Rochester Eastern Star. Surviving with the wife are a brother, Alexander BAILEY, Indianapolis; a half-brother, Homer KEELAN, Terre Haute; two half-sisters, Mabel EDMONDS and Bernadine CALENDRON, both of Terre Haute; five step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren, and a step-great-great-grandson. A sister preceded in death. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home, Kewanna, with the Rev. Brian HIGH officiating. Burial will be in the Kewanna I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday, and on Saturday from 8 a.m. until services. A Masonic service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday.
