Birth: 1837
Death: Jan., 1882

Naomi K. Bailey Roley was the second wife of Stephen L. Roley. They had no children.

From the birth, death, burial, and grave location information I'm assuming that Naomi K. Roley died sometime during January 1882, since the burial date was January 15, 1882.

I got this death date information from a July 8, 2012 scanned image of a photocopy of the birth, death, burial, and grave location for Naomi K. Roley.

I photocopied this birth, death, burial, and grave location information from a three ring binder book that the Edgar County Genealogy Library has at 408 North Main Street, Paris, Edgar County, Illinois.

Here's a copy of the newspaper obituary for the husband of Naomi K. Bailey Roley, who was Stephen Lee Roley:

Thursday, December 31, 1908 transcribed Paris, Edgar County, Illinois "Daily Beacon" newspaper obituary for Stephen L. Roley that I found on this website:

Note: I've added brackets [ ] around names of the state that the towns are located in so that the reader will know where the town is located. I also put brackets around any corrections that I made to a person's name.

Stephen L. Roley succumbs to complication of ailments at his home

Was Native of Edgar County Being Born near Grandview [Sangamon County, Illinois] Nearly Seventy-Seven Years Ago - Settled in Paris {Edgar County, Illinois] in 1873

"Stephen Lee Roley passed away from earthly cares at his home, on corner of Washington and Main Streets, at 11:45 o'clock this morning aged about 77 years. His malady was a complication of ailments, hiccoughs being the most notable. He had suffered from the trouble for about two weeks.

"Mr. Roley was born May 4, 1832, near Grandview [Sangamon County, Illinois] in this county, and learned the trade of saddler and harness maker in Paris, becoming a journeyman, as men who had learned a trade at that time were called. He worked at Charleston after learning his trade and in 1851 went to Ohio, where he worked at various places. At the age of 27 or 28 he married and lived with his wife 12 years until she died. To this marriage a son was born, but he passed away about the time his mother did. There is no record preserved of the maiden name of Mr. Roley's first wife.

"In 1872 he went to Missouri, where he worked at his trade for about a year, returning to Paris in 1873. He then went into the saddle and harness business on his own account, and soon had a thriving and prosperous trade. His second marriage took place in 1875, Naomi Bailey being the name of his wife. He lived happily with her until her death several years later. Sometime after her death he was married to Isis Fisher, who lived only about two years after her wedding.

"On Jan. 12, 1899, Mr. Roley was united in wedlock to Sarah Crum[e] at Eureka Springs, Ark. She alone survives him, there being no children of any of his four marriages except the first, and that was a son who died in boyhood. He retired from active business 20 years ago.

"Mr. Roley was a Democrat, a Presbyterian and a Mason. He was highly respected by all that knew him, and was known to a wide circle of friends and acquaintances. He was a member of Prairie Lodge No. 77, A.F. & A.M., and the funeral will be conducted under the auspices of his order.

"The time of the funeral has not been definitely fixed, but it will probably occur on Sunday. The funeral will be delivered by Rev. Sniff and interment will be made in Edgar Cemetery."
