On November 26, 1951, from the marriage of Eddie B. & Clara B. Davidson a daughter named Edna Rae was born. Edna, affectionately known as “Rae”, grew up in the St. Nicholas housing project in Harlem, New York. Rae received her education in the public school system of New York City. She attended elementary schools P.S.119 and P.S. 68, Cooper Junior High School and graduated from William J. Taft High School.
Through a loving Union with Louis Edward “Pug” Green, who preceded her in death, a wonderful son, Louis Tariq Davidson was born. After years of pampering Louis, Rae eventually met, fell in love with and married Michael Lamar Bailey, Sr. Through this union two more wonderful sons, Michael Lamar Bailey, Jr. and Darquez (Chaz) Bailey were born.
Rae loved the Lord; therefore, at an early age she was baptized at Beulah Baptist Church in New York. After moving to Georgia, she joined New Harmony C.M.E. Church and later united with the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Lanett, Alabama under the pastorate of Pastor Jackie Banks. Rae loved her church and her pastor.
Rae was very talented and chose several different avenues to pursue those talents such as Hughes Aircraft, Cosmetology, and Walmart. Her last career choice was Lee County Youth Development Center as a Youth Counselor. She enjoyed shopping, exploring the finer things that life had to offer and spending time with her sons and beloved grandson, Tariq. She possessed a loving personality and beautiful spirit that will be missed by her family, many friends, and co-workers.
Rae was preceded in death by Louis Green on October 4, 1976, and beloved husband Michael Bailey, Sr. and son, Darquez on January 13, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents Eddie B. and Clara B. Davidson; sisters Prestine Dixon and Hattie Lucille Aponte; parents-in-law Jessie and Carrie Green and Clanton Bailey. They are all deeply missed.

Davidson and devoted daughter-in-law Kamia Davidson; her adoring son Michael Davidson, Shannia and Kanaan Patterson; two stepdaughters, Audrey and Tonya Bailey; her beloved grandson, Tariq Davidson; four loving sisters, Trannie Mae Samuels, Lailah Greene, Valerie Davidson, and Rashidah Ascencio; her mother in law, Ms. Thelma Williams; seven brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; twenty-seven nephews; thirteen nieces; and a host of aunts, uncles, great- and grand-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
