Agnes Estelle Hudson Bailey
Birth: Aug. 17, 1926
Amherst County
Virginia, USA
Death: Sep. 11, 2004
Stafford County
Virginia, USA

Agnes Hudson Bailey was a self-made woman. After her husband died of cancer, she was widowed with 4 small children, and went to work for the first time on May 25th 1959 at the GE Plant. It was a job she held for 28 years. GE sent her back to school; and she became a Certified Electronics Technician- graduating first in her class. She was a mathematical wizzard, and a very gifted artist. She did many beautiful pieces of needlework and paintings. She raised four children alone, and spent every waking minute thinking of her family.

It is a miracle that God let us have her on Earth as long as He did. She survived a plane crash in an Arkansas corn field and a train derailment in South Carolina.

She loved Chanel Number 5 perfume, the color red, sausage biscuits and fried oysters and crabcakes. She loved the mountains, birds, and all of God's creations, but didn't like the ocean or water.

She wanted her family to "stand striaght and tall and remember the strong stock we came from." She did not want anyone to cry for her, and she prided our ability to "be strong." She is remembered daily with love and laughter.
