Bill Bailey, 69, of Bramwell died Saturday, March 2, 1974 in a Bluefield hospital following a long illness.
He was born November 12 1904 in Tazewell County, Va., and was a son of Edmond V. and Amanda Houck Bailey.
He was a retired employee of the Mercer County Board of Education and attended Bramwell Baptist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Maude Ryder Bailey; two brothers, Ellis J. Bailey of Falls Mills, Va., and Edward Lee Bailey of Bramwell; one sister, Mrs. Audrey Anderson of Cabot, Ar.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Mercer Funeral Chapel in Bluefield with Rev Arden Dean and Rev. Charles V. Horne officiating.
Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park at Bluewell.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 4 until 9 p.m.
