Mitchell, age 28, of Madison, formerly of Port Washington, passed away unexpectedly at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay on Saturday. He was born in Milwaukee on March 1, 1981, son of Jeffery T. Peterson and Dianne Bahr. The family lived in Port Washington where Mitch attended Port Catholic and Port Washington High School. During his schooling, he worked at the Port Washington Burger King. He moved to Madison in 2001 and worked at various jobs, including Customer Service in the Wisconsin Department of Revenue and as a seal-coater at Seal Jet. However, his true interests were history, playing guitar and computers, which he pursued in his spare time. He was also an avid reader. Mitchell is survived by his mother, Dianne Bahr (Shawn Reed) of Windsor, WI, his father Jeffery Peterson of Fargo, ND, and his aunts Karen (Thomas) Collier of Wauwatosa, WI and Christine (Robert) Denzin of Port Washington, WI. He is further survived by his cousins, other relatives, friends and his beloved cat Louie. He is preceded in death by his uncle Thomas Bahr and his grandparents Donna & Forrest Bahr. Funeral Services was held at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington. Father James Ernster officiated.
