George Bahn, 79, of Staunton died at 4:30 p.m. Friday in Staunton Community Memorial Hospital. He was a retired grocer and a veteran of World War I.
Mr. Bahn was born Jan. 14, 1893, in Germany, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Bahn. He was married to Evelean McDaid on Sept. 9, 1924, in Collinsville. His wife survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gloria Hinthorne of Staunton, a brother, Joe Bahn of Staunton, sisters, Mrs. Ella Yates of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Annie Amato of San Diego, Calif., and three grandchildren.
Mr. Bahn was a member of St. Michael's Archangel Church, Staunton.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Murphy Funeral Home, Staunton. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held in St. Michael's Church at 11 a.m. Monday, with Rev. Eugene Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Staunton.
