Carroll Welton Bagwell Obituary


PONTOTOC – Carroll Welton Bagwell, 85, passed away at Memphis V.A. Medical Center in Memphis. He was born to Elmo and Linder Johnson Bagwell on Sept. 9, 1928, in Pontotoc. He married Sarah Louise Hood Bagwell on Nov. 14, 1955. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He served our country in the U.S. Army. He was a retired farmer and a wonderful dad.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Baldwin Nowell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tommy Inmon and Bro. Bradley Bagwell officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Forest Cemetery. Baldwin Nowell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He leaves behind his wife, Louise Bagwell; one son, Barry (Lisa) Bagwell; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Leone Bagwell, Mammie Pennington and Almar Watts Bagwell; and four brothers, Arlis Bagwell, Edward Bagwell, Albert Bagwell and William Bagwell.
Pallbearers will be Guyson Ward, Terry Foster, Jimmy Pennington, Ricky Bagwell, Chad Bagwell, Preston Bagwell and Zack Bagwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Lunn, Dexter Pennington, Doug Patterson and Billy Bagwell.
Visitation will be from noon to service time Saturday at Baldwin Nowell Funeral Home.
