Avanel Paige Bagley died Dec. 13, 2004 in Chico at the age of 88. She was born Sept. 12, 1916 in Hot Springs, South Dakota to Walter and Vera Paige.
She lived in Lomita and became a registered nurse. She and her family resided in Paradise before moving to Sacramento where she retired from nursing in 1971.
Survivors are daughters, Eileen Vaughan of Chico, Elinor Mangrum of Galt; nephews, Dean Paige of Long Beach and Terry Paige of Murrieta; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A brother, Charles W. Paige, and sister, Eldene E. Paige preceded her in death. Avanel survived her sister, Eldene, by eight days.
At her request, no services will be held. Private arrangements will be handled by Paradise Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home.
