Richmond County BOE Retiree AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into the hands of the Lord on November 9, 2008, Mrs. Carolyn Baggott Aycox, 80, wife of the late William T. Aycox. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 13, 2008, in Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Reverend C. Aaron Aycox officiating. Mrs. Aycox was born in Dearing, Ga. to the late J.B. Baggott and Leila Baggott, and resided in Augusta for many years. She was a member of the Bayvale Baptist Church and Choir and the Tel Sunday School Class. She retired from the Richmond County Board of Education after 26 years of service. Her enjoyments in life were her church, gospel events and family gatherings. Survivors include one daughter, Nancy A. McGahee and husband Steve, Augusta; three sons, Craig B. Aycox and wife Sherry, Dearing, Michael A. Aycox and wife Jeanne, Martinez, and Robin T. Aycox, Augusta; grandchildren, C. Aaron Aycox, Steven A. Aycox, Curtis J. Aycox, Steven N. McGahee, Amanda J. Aycox, David A. Aycox, Lauren B. Aycox, Misty Candt; and five great grandchildren, Shelby Aycox, Madison Aycox, Colby Woods, Jaden Candt and Evan Candt. She was preceded in death by a brother Oliver L. Baggott. The family will be receiving friends at Bayvale Baptist Church fellowship hall following the graveside service.
