DECEMBER 19, 1938 -JUNE 02, 2010

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 02, 2010 at the age of 71 after a long battle with complications from surgery. She was born in Pensacola, Florida to Burel Woodrow Alderman, Sr. and Lorena Cunningham Alderman. She resided in Texas, Alabama and Georgia during her lifetime.
Mrs. Baggett attended Pensacola High School and graduated from Adult High School. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church in Walnut Hill.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Gene Hamilton Baggett.
She was survived by two daughters, Donna Cox Longbottom (Daniel) of Union, WA and Kurnetta Cox Palmer (Eddie) of Pensacola; two grandchildren, Keaton Palmer Fox (Timothy) and Kassidy Palmer both of Pensacola; and one brother, Burel Woodrow Alderman, Jr. (Linda Diane) of Columbia SC. Survivors also include numerous nieces, nephews and cousins along with her most faithful friends, Mrs. Loretta Edmunds, Miss Linda Green, Mrs. Kay Crawford, Mrs. Betty Whisenhunt, Mrs. Ronda Krebs and Mr. David Madison.
The family would like to express appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staffs of West Florida Hospital, Select Specialty Care, The Health Center of Pensacola, Emory University Hospital and Covenant Hospice for their tireless care and devotion.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 05, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Brother Earl Harrison will be officiating.
BAYVIEW FISHER-POU CHAPEL, 3351 Scenic Highway, is in charge of arrangements.
