Doris Badertscher, 78, of Woodspoint #24, North Manchester, IN died Oct. 3, 1997 at Wabash County Hospital, Wabash, IN. She was born Nov. 1, 1918 at Bluffton, IN to Robert and Caryl (Goodspeed) Lee. She married Francis Badertscher Dec. 12, 1943 in Bluffton, IN.
She was a member of the North Manchester United Methodist Church and an honorary member of Tri Kappa Sorority.
Survivors include her husband Francis; a son, Richard of Indianapolis; and a daughter Mrs. Ted (Caryl) Straiger of North Manchester; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral service was held Monday, Oct. 6, at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel with Rev. William Hemmig officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester. Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
