CONWAY - Graveside services for Lucia Cross Bacot, 88, will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Lakeside Cemetery with the Rev. Marty Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 this evening at the residence, 1508 Forestview Road, Conway. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be sent to Westmintster Presbyterian Church, 1619 Parkwiew Road, Conway, SC 29526, or to Mercy Hospice of Horry County, P.O. Box 1409, Myrtle Beach, SC 29578.

Mrs. Bacot, wife of the late John P. "Pete" Bacot, of Forestview Road, died Friday, November 23, 2001, at her residence following an illness. Mrs. Bacot was born in Marion a daughter of the late W. Howard and Lucia Coit Cross. She was a member of the Westminister Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Azalea Garden Club. Mrs. Bacot graduated from Columbia College and retired from the Department of Social Services.

Surviving are her daughter, Lucis B. Bacot of Myrtle Beach; sons, John P. Bacot Jr. and his wife Becky of Surfside Beach, Howard C. Bacot and his wife Linda of Atlanta; brother, Fred Cross and his wife Catherine of Darlington.
