Ernest C. Bacon, 58, of 3633 New Haven Avenue was dead on arrival at 12:45 p.m. yesterday at Parkview Memorial Hospital.
He was retired since last August from the International Harvester Company because of ill health. He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church.
Surviving are the wife, Anna; one son, Gerald, Fort Wayne; two daughters, Mrs. Iona Brames, Monroeville and Mrs Loarta Lee, Fort Wayne; four brothers, Lafayette of Angola, Charles of New Haven, Cletus of Payne, Ohio, and Joseph, Fort Wayne; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Keplinger, Huntington, Mrs. Cecila Smith of Monroeville.
The body was removed to C. M. Sloan and Son Funeral Home.
Final rites are at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home and at 9 a.m. at St. Andrew's, the Rev. Eugene Mulligan officiating. Burial will be in the New Haven IOOF Cemetery.
