Betty Jean Ford, 86 of Council Bluffs, IA passed away March 9, 2012 after a brief illness at The Eastern Nebraska Veterans Home in Bellevue, NE.

She was born in Pacific Junction, IA on July 26, 1925 to David and Rose Marie (Bantrup) Bacon.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Jay W. Ford, sister Juanita Browning, step-sister Marilyn Joan Reid, mother Rose McClary and father David Bacon. Betty is survived by her son William Ford and partner George Baumert, daughter Linda and husband Doug File, grandchildren Christopher and Sandra Frederick; great grandchildren Melissa and husband Steve Mitchell, Cassandra Van Horn and Alex Van Horn. In addition, she is survived by her step-brother Billy Joe McClary and step-sisters Iona Balthrop and Ivona Belden.
