CISCO- Flora McCanlies, 86, of Cisco died Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at Eastland Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2005 at First United Methodist Church, Rev. John Beckling officiated. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery, directed by Kimbrough Funeral Home. Mrs. McCanlies was born in Cisco on December 31, 1918 to John Richard and Ida Corinne (Stansell) Bacon. She married Jim Bob McCanlies on March 28, 1938 in Palo Pinto. She was a homemaker and a member of the 20th Century Club, DAR and Methodist Women of First United Methodist Church. She is survived by sons, John H. McCanlies of Cisco and Pat McCanlies of Kaplan, Louisiana; a daughter, Julie White of Krugerville; grandchildren, Julianne Masterson of Carrollton, Johnny McCanlies of Lubbock, Jimmy McCanlies of Katy; great-grandchildren, Chase McCanlies, Haleigh McCanlies, Jacob McCanlies, Rick McCanlies, Cora Lee McCanlies, Jaxon McCanlies, Nicholas Masterson; step grandchildren, Stephanie Terry, Cedric Richard and Jill White; step great-grandchildren, Gabbi Terry and Phillip Terry III. Pallbearers were Royce Darr, Mike Bacon, Bill Midkiff, Don Wallace, Cedric Richard and Steve Coleman. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or Cisco Public Library.
