Mr. Bacon was born Sept. 26, 1925, in LeRoy, Minn. He grew up and attended school in Spring Valley, Minn. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
On June 15, 1946, he married Connie O'Byrne in Spring Valley, where they lived until 1967, when they moved to Champlin, Minn. In 1973, they moved to Fargo. He worked as manager for Amoco Oil Co., Moorhead. He retired in 1988. She died in 1990. In 1999, he entered the care center.
He is survived by a son, Thomas, Mesa, Ariz.; three daughters, Pamela (Gordon) Schroeder, LaGrange, Texas, Deanna King, Luverne, N.D., Brenda (Paul) Jacob, Gillette, Wyo.; three sisters, Frances Bacon, LaVonne Walters, Evelyn Strain, all Rochester, Minn.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
