Survivors include one daughter,two sons, one sister and two grandchildren.
Her husband, Melvin Backens, preceded her in death.

be held Tuesday, January 25, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with the Rev. Bill Paepke and Vicar Matt Berndt officiating.
Burial will be in the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
