He was the 3rd child of Charles P. and Stella (Vrooman) Bachle. Graduated from Hubbell High School in 1931.
He joined the U.S. Army in Aug. of 1942. He served in the Pacific Theater with the 6th Army and the 5th Air Force until he was wounded during the invasion of the Philippines in Jan. of 1945. He then returned to NE. and earned a teaching degree fom Peru State College in 1949. He married May 29, 1949 to Edna Yates in Auburn, NE. They had 3 sons, Charles, Von and Curt. Chester taught school in Alliance, and Seneca, KS. before setteling in Auburn, NE. where he retired from teaching.
Services were held May 14, 2004.
His age at death was 90 years, four months and 10 days. preceded by a brother, Virgil.
