He attended counrty school near Mahaska, KS and graduated from the Narka High School. On May 18, 1943, he was united in marriage to Mildred Wands at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Fairbury and to this union was born four children, Robert, Mary, James and Paul.
Throughout his life Virgil lived in Hubbell, Mahaska, Fairbury and Alexandria. He enjoyed attending farm sales and machinery auctions.
He was proceded in death by his parents, one son, James Virgil Bachle and one daughter, Mary Dolores Graham.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred of Alexandria, two sons, Robert and his wife Della of Alexandria, and Paul and his wife Shari of Daykin. One brother, Chester and his wife Edna of Auburn, and one sister, Lela Blas of Beatrice, 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends.
Rosary services were held on Jan 26, at 7:30 from Price Funeral Home in Hebron.
Pallbears were Curtis Bachle, Brent Bachle, Tim Bachle, Charles Bachle, David Graham and John Blas, Jr.
Interment was in the St. Mary's Catholic cemetery at Alexandria.
Price Funeral Home of Herbon and Davenport was in charge of the arrangements.
