Born on August 17, 1924, in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of Edward and Jennie Fletcher Bacher. She married MacArthur "Mac" Coffin Sr. on August 10, 1947 in Burlington, Iowa. He died on September 16, 2008.
Connie was a graduate of Burlington High School, Burlington Community College and the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. in elementary education. She taught at Prospect Hill Elementary as a kindergarten teacher until her children were born. She was a member What-So-Ever Circle of the King's Daughters and Sons and also served on its' board. She was on the Bacher/Fletcher family reunion committee and belonged to the T.T.T. Society, P.E.O. Society, Questers Organization and Moose Club. She belonged to numerous bridge clubs, enjoyed traveling and took many trips abroad to Europe, Asia and New Zealand. She took yearly trips to Hawaii and England which also included stops at many tropical islands. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
