Christina R. Bach was married in her naitve Germany August 25, 1853 to Matteaus Aupperle then immigrating to America in 1869 when their son Christoph Wilhelm was 5 yrs old. They settled first in Iowa Co, [Amana], IA, and moving from there in 1873 to Audubon Co, IA.
She moved to Caron, Canada, about two years before her death, living with her son, John M. Aupperle. Her husband died Nov. 7, 1890 in Audubon Co.
Nine children were born to Christina & Matteaus, four of whom were living at the time of her death, others having died in infancy.
Living: John M. of Caron, Canada; [Christoph Wilhelm known as] W.C. of Adair, IA; Mrs. Martin Immel of Adair, IA; Mrs. Lucy Kruger of Fontanelle, IA.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 19, 1907 at 1 p.m. at the German Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. O. Cloeter and interment was made in the German Lutheran Cemetery.
