BACAS - In the service of his country, in North Africa, on October 4, 1944, PVT 1/c CHARLES HARVARD BACAS, son of Fred Bacas and the late Octavia Robeau; brother of Mrs F Wartman, Mrs E Clesi, Mrs A R Montz, Mrs G L Gougisa, Mrs L J Jeansonne, Mrs G M Bateman, Mrs H W Freeman, Mrs L A Moore and Joseph, Julius and Alfred Bacas; aged 34 years; a native of Garyville, La, and a resident of this city. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral, which will take place Saturday, May 1, 1948, at 2 o'clock p.m., from the funeral home of William Betz and Sons, 7611 Maple street, near Adams street. Religious services at Mater Dolorosa church, Carrollton avenue corner Plum street. Interment in St Mary cemetery, Spruce and Adams streets. Remains will arrive via I C Railroad Saturday, May 1, at 3:30 o'clock a.m.
