Ethel Louise Baber
Ethel Louise Baber, 66, of Barboursville, departed this world to be with her heavenly Father on Friday, December 3, 1999.
Born March 31, 1933, in Charlottesville, she was a daughter of the late Alex Ernest Campbell and Hallie Truslow Harris.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Carroll Baber Sr.; two grandchildren, Bryan Randall Baber and Katrina Nadine Baber; a brother-in-law, William J. Bryant; a sister-in-law, Rena Truslow; and a long-time friend, Harold L. White.
Mrs. Baber is survived by her children, Hallie L. Frazier of Keswick, Diane L. Lamb of Charlottesville, Bonnie S. Frazier and her husband, Charles, of Earlysville, Thomas C. Baber Jr. and his wife, April, of Palmyra, Cathy G. Davis of Charlottesville, Douglas A. Baber and his wife, Judy, of Kents Store, Leslie R. Baber of Palmyra, Richard B. Baber and his wife, Carol, of Barboursville, and Theresa L. Baber of Barboursville; five brothers, Howe Truslow of Lyndhurst, Howell Truslow of Stuarts Draft, Charles Harris of Richmond, George Harris of Deephaven, Minn., and Bobby Harris of Richmond; four sisters, Mabel Harris of Waynesboro, Mildred Bryant of Goochland, Jean Harris of Waynesboro, and Patricia Blankenbaker of Richmond; 22 grandchildren, Joanne Brown, Rocky Dabney, Rex Dabney, Rowdy Dabney, Sandra Dabney, Sherri Lamb, BrandiLamb,Angela Frazier, Heather Frazier, Wanda Baber, Thomas Baber, Ethel Baber, Theresa Baber, Michelle Thomas, Candi Baber, Jamie Baber, Crissy Baber, Monica Davis Jackson, B. J. Davis, Timothy Baber, Tierra Jackson-Baber, and Kevin Jackson-Baber; 13 great-grandchildren, Mitchell Frazier, Deidre Lemaster, Shawn Dabney, Cassandra Dabney, Carrie Dabney, Ryan Wheeler, Sabryn Dotson, Trey Davis, C'Aira Davis, Orlanda Jackson, Robert Thomas, Peggy Thomas, and Jesse Thomas.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Gordon Morris, Dr. Daniel Sawyer, Dr. Richard Brewer, and their staffs; the 7th floor nurses at Martha Jefferson Hospital; and the Hospice of the Piedmont for their devoted care.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Hill & Wood Chapel, with Mr. Roger Browning and Pastor Raymond Stark officiating. Interment will follow at Monticello Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
