Benjamin Thomas Babcock married Mariah (Maria)Ayars in 1874, in Nebraska. They lived in Franklin, Richardson, Nebraska until during the 1890's they moved to Moreno, Riverside, California. Maria and Benjamin had seven children: Samuel M., Lillian J., William T., Albert M., Luther R., Nellie B., Jesse A.

Benjamin was the son of Joel J. Babcock and Ame [Anna]Greene Babcock.
