Bernard "Bernie" Foster Babb, 79, passed away April 30, 2010.
He was born Sept. 7, 1930, in Poteau. He was retired from the Federal Highway Administration and served in the military during the Korean Conflict before being honorably discharged. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Texarkana.
He was preceded in death by his father, Polk Babb; his mother, Maud Harris Babb; two brothers, Kenneth Babb and Bill Babb; and a sister, Almeda Babb Evans. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kirk and Diana Babb; a granddaughter, Lily Elizabeth Babb; and a son, James Babb.
Services will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Texarkana, with Rev. Jeff Schreve officiating. Interment will be in Ashdown Memorial Gardens, Ashdown, Ark. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Madden Funeral Home in Ashdown.
