The son of James and Ann (Morton) Babb
Drowned-We learn from the Bangor Times that Mr. Bryant Babb, lumberman, was drowned at Pine Stream Falls, on the West Branch on Saturday last, May 14th, by the swamping of the boat in which he and six other lumbermen were crossing the stream. The boat struck a rock and split in two from stem to stern. The other men saved themselves by swimming ashore. Mr. Babb was a nephew and adopted son of the late Jonathan Andrews of Corinna. The body had not been found at last accounts. Mr. B was a good citizen and sincere friend, leaving as we are assured, not an enemy behind. His age was 23 years.
