GUY O. BEGHTEL, 100, passed away Friday, May 29, 2009, at Coventry Meadows LLC in Fort Wayne. Born in Bippus, Ind., he worked as a Route Supervisor with Meadow Gold Dairy for 26 years, retiring in 1966. He also worked with General Electric for seven years, retiring in 1973. He was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church and Teamster Local 414. He is survived by his sons, Gene G. Beghtel of Homosassa, Fla. and Keith A. Beghtel of Hudson, Fla.; daughters, Carol J. Sims of Homosassa, Fla., Janet R. Bresler of Charlotte, N.C. and Jacqueline A. DiGregory of Roanoke; sister, Winifred Smith of Huntington; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Guy was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, in 2004; two brothers; and four sisters. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial in Lancaster Cemetery, Andrews.
