Adeline Rose Silveria Azevedo of Modesto died at Alexander Cohen Hospice House, Hughson.

Mrs. Azevedo was a native of California and had lived in Modesto since 1952.

She was a homemaker.

She worked with her family's dairy business for 30 years.

She was a member of the Modesto Bowling Hall of Fame, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Spring Creek Golf & Country Club, served as a pink lady volunteer at Memorial Medical Center, and was a board member of California Women's Bowling Association. She started a handicapped bowling league, and enjoyed traveling and playing bridge.

She is survived by her children, Anita Ann Durham of Carmel, Gloria Gwen Freeman of Sacramento and John Stanley Azevedo of Riverbank; brothers, Raymond Silveria of Modesto and John Silveria of Denair; sisters, Alberta Schaufel of Oakdale and Alice Savelson of Lake of the Pines; and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Azevedo.

Visitation from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the McHenry Chapel of Franklin & Downs, with the rosary at 6 p.m.

A Mass will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, with burial to follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel.
