A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 7, at Braman Cemetery with the Rev. Matt Smith of Immanuel Baptist Church of Blackwell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Roberts and Son Funeral Home.
Wilma Jean Bennett Aytes was born Aug. 10, 1930, in Braman, the daughter of Henry C. and Mildred M. Guisinger Bennett. She grew up in Blackwell, attending Blackwell schools.
She married Thomas Ryan in 1947. She worked at Hazel-Atlas Glass Plant and later managed the D and J Donut Shop.
On Dec. 20, 1982, she married Tom Aytes in Wellington, Kan.
She was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, painting, gardening and family.
She was preceded in death by a son, Danny T. Ryan; her parents; and three brothers, Bill Bennett, Donald Bennett and Charles Bennett.
