Jerry Lee Ayres, 43, died at 9:10 PM Thursday, Dec. 28, 1978, in Lafayette Home Hospital. A native of Carroll County, he was a graduate of Flora High School. He moved to Lafayette in 1960, the same year he was married to Lois K. Stong.
Mr. Ayres was employed in the heat treat department of Fairfield Manufacturing Co., and was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ. He also was a member of Fairfield Athletic Association, Fairfield bowling team of Market Square and Lafayette Bowling Association.
Surviving with his widow are a daughter, Judith Ann; and a son, Gordon Ray, both at home; and a sister, June (Mrs. William) Baum of Flora. Service Jan. 1 at Landis-Loy Mortuary, the Rev. James Bettin officiating; internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
