Allison Arlene Ayers, 21 of 37 Teresa Circle, Apt. 203 died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 11, 2008. She was born February 13, 1987 in Waynesboro, daughter of Stephen and Linda Hoover Ayers. She was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen A. Ayers, maternal grandfather Eugene Hoover and grandmother, Voncille Hoover.
Allison was a 2005 graduate of Waynesboro High School and a member of Second Presbyterian Church. She volunteered to work with the youth at Westminister Presbyterian Church. She participated in the LAFA young adult ministry in Augusta County. She enjoyed art, photography, family, friends and spending time outdoors. She currently was attending JMU for psychology with a minor in art therapy for children. Allison enjoyed working with children and traveling which included several mission trips, one to China with the New Day Creation Group and several mission trips to Summerlee, West Virginia with her brother Stephen, sister Debbie and dad Steve.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sisters, Laura Ayers of Churchville, Mary Beth Thompson and her husband, Nolan of Churchville, Joanna Vander Yacht of Hinesville, GA and Debra Ayers of Waynesboro; paternal grandparents, Roy and Sis Ayers of Stuarts Draft, paternal grandmother, Mary Helen Ayers of Waynesboro; aunt and uncle, Cynthia and Tom Huggins; nieces and nephews Kayla, Jaimie, Dylan, Justin, Sage, Willow, and Faith; cousins, Adam Patterson, Sabrina Huggins, Shawn and Ginger Patterson and their daughter, Alanna of Mountain Home, Idaho.
