Mr James Ayers died at his home near Farmville last Friday morning and was buried the following day at the Cooper cemetery. He was one of thesubstantial men of the county and a old citizan. His death was the result of an attack of pneumonia. He was a Union veteren and drew a pension from injuries received during the war.
