Bonnie Lou Aycock Adams passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at 10:15 a.m. with all three children by her side. Funeral Services will be held on friday, August 13, 2004 at Lakewood Funeral Chapel in Lake Jackson, Texas at 7:00 p.m. with Ron Hogan of Firsy Assembly of Brazoria officiating. Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. on Friday, August 13, 2004 at Lakewood Funeral Chapel. The family will have an informal graveside service at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetetry in Port Arthur, Texas on Saturday, August 17, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Bonnie was born on January 8, 1916 in Leesville, Louisiana where her dad, richard Leslie Aycock Sr., was a railroad engineer. They later moved to port Arthur where she attended Port Arthur College, and carned a business degree. She was a member of the alumni. She worked in Freeport, texas for Jefferson Lake Sulfur Company after attending business college, and later returned to port Arthur. Bonnie belonged to The Eastern Star and was a charter member of Lakeview Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher, and active member of the Women's Society. She was previously a member of the Presbyterian Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Dudley Adams, parents Richard Lesile Aycock Sr. born in West Columbia Texas and Lula Irene Seaburn Aycock, born in Quintana, Texas. Also brothers Richard Leslie Aycock Jr. of port Arthur, and Robert Arthur Aycock Sr. of Angleton. Bonnie was also preceded in death by a brother and a sister in childhood: Sue Elizabeth Aycock and William Ralph Aycock, both buried at Seaburn Cemetery at Quintana.

She is survived by son Dudley Richard Adams andwife Genevieve Rhodes Adams of Richwood, daughter Mary beth Patton of Sweeny, James "Bird Dog" Adams and wife Susan McRee Adams of LaPorte. Mrs. Adams has four grandchildren Carla "c.J." Patton of parker, Colorado, Mark Adams of Angleton, Texas , Brian and Sarah Adams of LaPorte, Texas. She also has one surviving brother Cecil Aycock and wife Norma of memphis, Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews. Bonnie had many friends and relatives in Brazoria and Jefferson County.

She lived in the home she and Dudley had built in Port Arthur in 1939, until moving to Plantation Health Care in 2001. She was blessed with good health for many years and was active in the Women's Society at her church until she moved to Lake jackson, where she participated in Bible studies and church services at Plantation.

Honorary PallBearers are Arthur Aycock, W.F. Gonzales, Clarence Gonzales, Robert Rhodes Aycock, Ptrick Tumlinson, grandsons,Mark Adams and Brian Adams.

The family wishes to thank the many people who assisted Mrs. Adams at Plantation for the loving care they showed her, and for Amed Hospice nursese, Chaplin and Social workers especially Mary Owen and Theresa. Kea. Most of all, we are thankful to god who has guided us in decisions with Momma's health each step of the way.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bonnie's honor can be made to the church or organization of your choice.
