PADDOCK LAKE - Ann I. Axtell, 62, passed away Wednesday November 17, 2010 at her home. She was born November 24, 1947 in Kenosha, the daughter of Robert and Irene (nee: Fredrick) Quardokus. Before her retirement in 2007 she worked for over 15 years as a cake decorator at SuperValu in Kenosha. Ann was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, part of the bell choir for the church, had taught organ for many years out of her home, and had entertained at the Brass Ball Restaurant. Ann loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed baking, cooking, and tending her flowers. On June 12, 1965 she married Gerald Axtell in Kenosha. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Gerald; her children, Wendy (Jeff) Axtell of Kenosha, Amy (Rich) Lucas of Wausau, and Joe (Marcy) Axtell of Union Grove; her father, Robert Quardokus of Bristol; six grandchildren, Amanda, Auden, Jessica, Morgan, Peyton, and Christian; her siblings, John (Susie) of Kenosha, Mary (Gary) Wollert of Bristol, and Ellen (Barry) Quardokus-Stein of Bloomington, Ind.; sisters-in-law, Marion Tierman of Salem, and Judy (Bill) Douglas of New London, and many other friends and relatives. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Christ Lutheran Church, 24929 75th St., Paddock Lake, WI 53168 with Pastor Eric Silberschmidt, officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Mound Cemetery, Silver Lake, WI. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME, 1055 Main St., (Rte 83) Antioch, IL and Tuesday at the church from 10AM until time of services. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the church or Hospice Alliance in her memory. Ann's family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice Alliance and Dr. Shepler.
