Resided In: White Salmon Washington
Tina Anderson, age 69, of White Salmon, lost her battle with cancer on Saturday, June 24, 2006. She was born on June 17, 1937 in the Azores to Manuel and Serafina (Bettencourt) Avila.
Tina married Jim Anderson in 1983 and enjoyed life to the fullest in White Salmon. She was a hairdresser for many years, as she opened the Beauty Chalet in White Salmon. Her customers were very special to her. Even after she retired in 1996, she took special pride in visiting her sick and distressed customers, and friends, and doing their hair.
Tina and Jim in their retirement enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. She had a great passion for dancing and going to the coast, meeting new friends. She was a member of the Hood River American Legion, and the St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She was a big Seattle Mariner baseball fan, but just really enjoyed going to most any sporting event with Jim. She always enjoyed her bowling team, never seemed to keep the score, but always came out a winner.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Anderson of White Salmon; sons Bill Clack of White Salmon, Ron Clack of Camano Island; sisters Eldina, Mary (passed to the Lord in 1975); brothers Manuel and Joe; and grandchildren Nick, Jim, Ben and Bob. She is also survived by her five stepchildren, Lori Snyder, Tami Nickels, Keith Anderson, Kyle Anderson and Amber Anderson; seven step grandchildren and one great grandchild.
