Funeral services for Don W. Avery will be held Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. Officiating will be Rev. Keith Adams and Dr. Richard May. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.

Don was born August 19, 1929 in Homer and entered into rest March 7, 2013 in Minden. Don retired as plant supervisor from Gifford Hill Pipe Company. He loved woodworking and his family.

His parents Joe and Tot Avery, son Michael Avery, three sisters, three brothers and granddaughter Edna Avery Darnell preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife Billie Avery of Minden, sons Wayne Avery and wife Evelyn of Minden, Danny Kay Avery and wife Mary of Minden, daughter Athyl Cox and husband Doug of Minden, sisters Ruth Middleton and husband Henry of Arcadia, Betty Koerth and husband Allen of Houston, Texas, grandchildren Chad Avery and wife Jennifer, Denise McGowen and husband Chris, Cody Avery and wife Britney, Cristian Avery, Van Cox and wife Nicole, Misty Walker and husband Brian, and thirteen great- grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chris McGowen, Chad Avery, Cody Avery, Cristian Avery, Van Cox, and Brian Walker
