Mrs. Ade was employed as an English teacher until her retirement in 1966. She taught at Union Township School, Lagro High School, and Lincoln School. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority Club of DePauw University, First Mothers' Club, P.E.O., Psi Iota Xi, Shakespeare Club, Huntington County Retired Teachers Association, and Huntington Garden Club. She was a 1928 graduate of Palmyra High School and received her bachelor's degree from DePauw University. Mrs. Ade was born Oct. 23, 1910 in Palmyra to William and Cora Klinker Avery. Her marriage was to Judge Ray Ade on July 24, 1939 in Fort Wayne; he died Nov. 4, 1993. Survivors include one son; two daughters; one brother; six grandchildren. Services were held in Trinity United Methodist church with Rev. John Pattison officiating. Preferred memorials are constributions to Trinity United Methodist Church or to the donor's choice.
