FORMER MILFORD RESIDENT
KILLED IN WASHINGTON
Mrs. Anna Barber received word the last week from her sister, Mrs. K. H. Knudtson of Isaquah , Wash., of the accidental death of Luther H. Avery, son-in-law of Mrs. Knudtson. Mr. Avery was working at carpenter work, when the staging gave way, throwing him 45 feet to the ground, with lumber of the staging on top of him. Both arms, both legs, his neck and his back were broken in the fall. Mr. Avery lived until the next day. The accident occurred on May 16th. The family formerly lived in the Wallace community southwest of Milford, Iowa, leaving here about 40 years ago for the Dakotas where they resided until about 10 years ago, when they moved to the state of Washington. Mr. Avery is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters.
