VINITA Okla. - Jack Lee Avery, 79, died April 23, 2008, after a long illness. He was born March 8, 1929, in Hutchinson. He served in the U.S. Navy off China. In Hutchinson he worked for the Hutchinson Fire Department, Santa Fe Railroad, Morton Salt, and was a salesman.
Survivors include: son, Greg Lee and wife Betty Avery; two daughters, Sonya Diane Cloud and Michelle Renee Lewis; two brothers, Ernest James Avery, Ronald Gene Avery; sister, Nina Sexton; four grandchildren, Amber, Aaron, Tineta and Tonia; six great- grandchildren; and close family friend, Rodger.
He is preceded in death by his wife Wanda, daughter, Marla Jo, brother, Jerry D. Avery, and sister, Jo Morse.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
