She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Lavelle and Betty Averett, Lin and Kathy Averett, Lane and Loyce Averett, and Wayne and Lisa Averett; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Belle and Clifton Wascom; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Margie Averett; brothers-in-law, Elvert Averett and wife Mary, and L.T. Averett and wife Bernice; and sister-in-law, Ozelia Watts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton N. Averett; parents, George Edward and Etta Viola Blount Averett; granddaughter, Christie Lynn Averett; brother, Paul Edward Averett; and sister, Maythel Bankston.
