Martha, of Orangefield, passed away Friday.
Born to Leatha and Otis Autry, she was the middle child between older sister, Wanda and younger brother, Bruce.
She graduated from Valley View High (near Wichita Falls, Texas) in 1948 where she was their star volleyball player. She married Choyce Alton Brown in 1951. They enjoyed fifty two years of marriage until his death in 2003. She worked outside the home only briefly and was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She guided her daughters through many years as a Girl Scout Leader.
Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Brown Champagne and husband, Roland, Brenda Slaughter and husband, Keith, Paula Hodge, Sandra Smith and husband, David; grandchildren, Mandy, Mickey, Erica, Tasha, Travis, Lea, Wesley, and Steven; and great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Katelyn, and Nicole.
