Mrs. Mildred Ann Arrington, 68, of Monroe, LA, died Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe A native of Hamburg, a resident of Monroe for the past eight years and a former resident of Dumas, Hamburg, and Mendenhall, MS, she was a retired bookkeeper and a member of the First Baptist Church in West Monroe where she was involved in the homebound ministry.
She is survived by a son, Edward "Buddy" Arrington of Richland, MS; two daughters, Sherry Arrington of Richland and Jana Gentry of West Monroe; a brother, Carlton Austin of West Monroe; a half-brother, Charles York of Hamburg; a sister, Mary Donaldson of Monticello; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lou Pryor York, and her father, Gerald Austin.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Friday, November 19, in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg with Rev. Mark Fenn officiating. Pallbearers were Clint & Jared Arrington, Matthew & Joshua Boggan, Horace Gentry, David Massey and Kris Magnusson. Burial followed services at the Hamburg Cemetery.
