MRS. WESLEY WILLIAMS DEAD
Mrs. Wesley Williams, 901 East St., died this morning in Newman Memorial County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel, conducted by the Rev. M. H. Tolliver, pastor of the Mt. Olive A. M. E. Church, of which Mrs. Williams was a member.
Annie Hinds, daughter of Samuel and Annie Hinds, was born in April 1st, 1879. She married Wesley Williams on Nov. 1st, 1897 in Burlingame and they moved to Emporia on Sept. 15th, 1919. Mr. Williams died June 9th, 1946. Surviving are a son, Elijah B. Williams, Washington, D. C., and a daughter, Catherine Carter, of the home. Two sons, Clifford and Clayton Williams, preceded their mother in death.

THE WILLIAMS FUNERAL
Funeral services for Mrs. Wesley Williams, who died Friday morning in Newman Memorial County Hospital, were held Tuesday afternoon in Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel, conducted by the Rev. M. H. Tolliver, pastor of the Mount Olive A.M.E. Church, assisted by the Rev. B. W. Lowe and the Rev. Andy Murray. Mesdames J. J. Carson, Alonzo Walls and John Lillard and Miss Elma Ervin sang, accompanied by Mrs. Andrew Armstead. Mrs. Carson read the condolences. Pallbearers were Messrs. Carson, Walls, Arthur Moore, Claude W. Dell, Cordie Collier and Howard L. Miller. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery.
Out-of-town relatives who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Elijah B. Williams, Washington, D. C., and Messrs. and Mesdames D. Adolph and Seymour Williams, Tulsa, Okla.
