Dr. Lawrence Edwin Austin, Sr. left this mortal probation on February 4, 2012 at his home after a valiant fight against pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by his family. He was 77 years of age.
Larry was first and foremost a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He was a devoted and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and spent many years in leadership callings. Larry truly served the Lord by serving others. His life was spent serving his family, friends and members of the community.
Even in his professional life he chose an occupation of service by becoming a psychiatrist. He was a board certified psychiatrist and earned the prestigious "Fellow" award. He helped thousands of people during his career in Pueblo, Colorado and then continued to help all who needed his assistance after he retired to Denver.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Rae Austin, and a baby brother Terry. He is mourned by his wife, Glenna; children, Lawrence Jr. (Jodi), Kerry (Roseann), Steven (Tanya), and Jennifer; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He also leaves his brother Bob (Ann) of Salt Lake City.

A Public viewing will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012, from 5:00-7:00pm, at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80122.
An additional viewing will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012, from 10:00-10:45am followed by the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00am, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 20850 E. Main Street, Parker, CO, 80138.
Burial will be at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Littleton, Colorado.
