He was born January 8, 1909 in Salt Lake City to R. Archie and Ethel Austin. Married Melva Eardley September 26, 1930 in Bountiful, UT. He was the co-owner of State Brass Foundry and Machine Shop of Salt Lake City since 1944. He loved outdoors and all sports.
Survived by wife, Salt Lake City; son, Robert A. Austin, San Francisco, Ca., sister, Virginia A. Archer, Holladay, Ut.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 19, 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South. Where friends may call 1 hour prior to services."
