Her obituary appears in the Spartanburg Herald Journal Obituary Section on, Sunday, Nov. 28, 1937, on page 9.
Native of Greenville, SC and daughter of Dr. Thomas and Polly Collins Austin. She passed away on Nov. 27, 1937 at her residence at 119 Butler Avenue at 6 o'clock, following three years of declining health. Member of Buncombe Street Church and was a member of the Daughters of the Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confedercy. She was the last of her immeadiate family and was survived by five nieces, several grandc-nieces and one great-great-grand nephew. She was 92 years of age at her demise.
