"God saw the road was getting rough, the hills so hard to climb. He gently closed her loving eyes and whispered, "Peace be Thine."

Mrs. Mattie Pringle Austin entered into eternal rest at Honorage Nursing Center, Florence, South Carolina on Wednesday afternoon, May 16. 2012 after an extended illness.

Mattie Pringle Austin was born in Bloomville, South Carolina on July 13, 1928 to Mr. Richard Pringle, Sr. and Mrs. Adelle Bailey Pringle. She attended the public schools of Clarendon County. She was formerly employed at White Swan Laundry. She also worked for many years as a Supervisor at Klear Knit Manufacturing Company.

Mattie joined Majority Missionary Baptist Church and served faithfully until her health failed.
