Richard L. Austin, 61, of 671 N. West died 2:45 a.m. today in St. Rita's Hospital.
Born Nov. 19, 1909, in Beaver, he was the son of Ray and Edna Austin. He was married to Ruby Dillman and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, John L., stationed with the U.S. Marines in Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Hank (Christine) Logan of Toledo and Mary Kathleen at home; his mother, Mrs. Edna Diebert of Springfield; a brother, John of Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Earl Curtis of Wharton Grove, Ill., and Mrs. Roberta Parrot of Tampa, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
A 20-year resident of Lima, Mr. Austin was a sheet metal worker at Boughan Bros. Plumbing and Heating. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Siferd Westwood Chapel, Rev. Virgil Applegate officiating. Friends may call at the chapel Saturday after 3 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
